Norah McClintock's Dooley Takes the Fall is the story of a young man who is struggling to rise above criminal activities he's committed in the past. The book for me is at its most intruiging as it describes the dynamics of Dooley versus the police or Dooley as he interacts with kids at his school, because it challenges you to rethink your ideas of "juvenile delinquents" or anyone else who's been in trouble with the law. There are always circumstances you don't understand, and Dooley Takes the Fall challenges you to get to know someone before judging them.
