Little Brother by Cory Doctorow

Marcus, a video game addict and hacker, experiences things never expected from his perspective and from a reader's perpective. After a terrorist attack in San Francisco, Marcus is taken to jail and interrogated because he (and his friends) were in the area of the terroist attack at the time. After days of interrogating, he is finally released. He then starts a rebellious group against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) , the people who arrested him on his video game console. It doesn't take long for things to get crazy, and for Marcus to realize that the DHS is doing illegal things. He is forced to try to take down the DHS in an unreal and amazing book.
