Is a semiautobiographical book about Katie; a girl sent off to boarding school whose only escape from life is swimming. She also has a very messy family coming in the shape of a mentally ill brother who tried to kill himself, their father (an overworked psychiatrist), and succeeded in killing an orderly at a hospital. I really enjoyed this book as it had a really crazy and fun cast of characters with so many problems that it just makes you love them; well everyone but the psycho brother that is. I wish that they hadn’t done a future at the end of the book though; it just opened back up the doors that were happily shut.
