Lord of the Flies by William Golding

The best literature book I've ever read. This story follows many boys stranded on an uncharted island. The are stranded because the plane they were flying in crashed down to the island. The five main characters are Ralph, the Chief of the boys tribe; Piggy, the wise friend of Ralph; Jack Merridew, the leader of the Hunting Tribe; Simon, the Jesus-like figure who is loyal to Ralph; and Roger, Jack's torturer friend. This book taught me the line how the line between great civilization and chaos works. But be careful when you read; the Beast might hunt you.
