Flygirl by Sherri L Smith

I really loved this book. It was about an African-American girl who has loved flying since her fathers death. When her brother goes to fight in WWII, she is determined to help in whatever way she can. She decides to use her lighter skin to pass as a white women in order to join the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). I liked it because the ending was unexpected.
