Looking for Alaska by John Green

Sometimes we meet people who gather us up in the wirlwind of their person and then we are never, ever the same. That is what happens to Miles, a.k.a. Pudge, Halter when he leaves home in search of "The Great Perhaps" and meets Alaska Young at his new boarding school. Alaska is a girl of intrique, she is beautiful, hilarious, smart and incredibly damaged, but she never lets people get close enough to truly know her. When a tragic event rocks the very foundation of Pudge's new life, he embarks on a journey of discovery, trying to uncover the mystery of Alaska and ultimately find himself. This book is beautifully written with incredibly realistic and memorable characters as well as a poignant message that will stay with its readers forever. A definate must read for all teenagers!
