Old Magic by Marianne Curley

Kate is not your normal teenager. Both her and her grandmother, Jillian, have special gifts. In the small town of Ashpeak, Kate is shunned from any kind of social standing. Many are scared and refer to her as a witch, everyone except her best friend Hannah. But she meets Jarrod. Jarrod is unique not only in appearances but Kate believes he also has the gift. The only problem is he is completely unaware of his magic. Kate has to make Jarrod understand about his gift to ensure his and everyone else's saftey and along the way the two of them uncover a secret that will change Jarrod's life forever.

I really liked this book. It had everything a good story needs. Comedy, romance, alittle of the paranormal, action and even time travel. This is definitely a well rounded novel. I really enjoyed reading this, it left me wanting a second book but I don't think there is going to be a sequel. It was still a fantastic read and I highly recommend it.
